Terms and conditions

These terms apply to the website, the web app and every CareerLab service. When you create an account, you confirm that you have read and accept them.

• You must be at least [16] years old to create an account.
• Use real information and keep it up to date. An account belongs to one person.
• Keep your password safe and tell us right away at [contact@domeniu.ro] if you think someone else is using your account.
• If you create a company account, you confirm that you are entitled to represent that organisation.
• You can close your account at any time from Settings → Data.

CareerLab helps you understand where you stand in the job market through the Employability Index and gives you tools for your resume, skills assessments, jobs and courses. Some modules are still being built; we label them “Coming soon” and may change them before launch.

The Employability Index is a guidance tool. It is not an official assessment and does not guarantee a job or any particular offer.

You may not use CareerLab to:

• impersonate someone else or publish false information about yourself or others;
• post job ads that are misleading, discriminatory or ask candidates for money;
• harass, threaten or abusively contact other users;
• collect data from the platform automatically (scraping, bots) without our written consent;
• upload malicious software or try to bypass security measures;
• infringe copyright or other rights of other people.

If you break these rules, we may remove the content or suspend the account. We tell you why and how to appeal, except where the law forbids it.

What you upload (profile, resumes, documents) remains yours. You only give us the limited right to store, process and display it as far as needed to provide the service, for example to send your resume to a job you apply for. That right ends when you delete the content or your account, within the limits described in the Privacy policy.

• Some features use AI: text suggestions for resumes and letters, explaining your match with a job, course recommendations. We always tell you when content is AI-generated.
• AI suggestions can contain mistakes. Check them before you use them; you are responsible for what you send on in your own name.
• AI makes no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you. Employers alone decide whom to interview or hire; the platform never rejects candidates automatically.
• We do not use emotion recognition and do not analyse your face or voice.
• Use of AI features may be limited by your plan (for example, a number of AI credits per month).

• You see the total price, in RON and including VAT, before you pay.
• If there is a trial, we tell you clearly when it ends and what you will pay afterwards.
• Subscriptions renew automatically only if you agreed to it; we notify you [7] days before renewal.
• You can cancel at any time from your account, as easily as you subscribed; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
• You have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014. If you ask for the service to start immediately, we will ask for your express consent and explain how the right of withdrawal applies. [Needs legal validation.]

The platform, the CareerLab brand, its design, texts and the Index methodology belong to [Legal name SRL] or our partners. You may use them only for the purpose we provide them for.

• We do our best to keep the platform working correctly and securely, but interruptions or errors can happen.
• Job ads are published by employers, who are responsible for their content. We moderate them and you can report any suspicious ad.
• We are not responsible for employers' decisions or for the outcome of an application.
• Our total liability to you is limited to [the amount you paid in the last 12 months]. This limit does not apply to intent or gross negligence and does not reduce your statutory consumer rights.

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account for serious breaches of these terms or where the law requires it; we notify you in advance, with the reason, except in urgent situations (for example, fraud).

If we change anything important, we notify you by email or in the app at least [30] days in advance. If you do not agree, you can close your account before the changes take effect.

These terms are governed by Romanian law. We first try to solve any issue amicably: write to us at [contact@domeniu.ro] and we will reply within [15] working days.

If we cannot reach an agreement, disputes are settled by the competent courts in Romania. As a consumer, you can file a complaint with ANPC or use alternative dispute resolution (ADR). [Needs legal validation: the EU ODR platform closed in July 2025; keep the link only if still required.]
